Officers say a man forced his way into the home in the 17-hundred block of South New York Avenue Saturday night. They say the 80-year-old woman was startled by a loud knock at her front door and went to answer it.
The woman says she was greeted by a man in a leather jacket who told her he was an undercover police officer. She says he then pushed her out of the way and entered the home.
The woman says the man asked her how much money she had and whether or not she got social security. Then she says he put his hand in the pocket of her pants, took her money, and threatened to have her arrested.
If you have any information on this case, you're asked to call Evansville Police.
