Pence/Daniels Talk Education Wednesday

The Indiana Governor's mansion will soon have new residents.
Governor-Elect Mike Pence joined Governor Mitch Daniels on Wednesday. Pence says under the Daniels administration, Indiana has grown accustomed to success, he hopes to build on it.
However, one of the challenges Pence faces is newly elected Superintendent of Public Instruction, Glenda Ritz. Some say this could create some gridlock when it comes to future education reform.
"The consensus for change and reform in Indiana is rock solid. Not one of those laws is going to change unless it's extended further in the path for reform. There's a Board of Education I appointed, that the Superintendent will have to report to. Every one of them is pro reform. We have a very idealistic pro reform administration coming in", Governor Daniels said.
My view is I believe in servant leadership. I think you listen and then lead. And I want to hear out of the concerns for teachers. I come in with a heavy bias that nothing that ails education can't be fixed", Governor-Elect Pence replied.
Pence says he's putting his transition team into place and appointments should come in the near future.
