Workers from another Tri-State company have packed their bags and headed East to help with disaster relief. Slay's Restoration, a Carmi-based business, is helping with re-building efforts all around New York City.

The company regularly responds to catastrophic events around the Tri-State and across the nation. Most recently the company helped restore Grandview Apartments, now crews are helping piece back together the region devastated by Sandy and hit -- yet again -- by Nor'Easter.

The crews are currently in Brooklyn working to make seven skyrise condos livable once again. Owner Matt Slay says getting victims working heat and electricity is the top priority across the East Coast.

"Right now this is one is on Far Rockaway, which is on Coney Island. They're even talking now that they may not have power back on that island until January," says Slay. "This is the worst storm I've seen since Katrina by far."

Slay's restoration crews will remain on the East Coast until after Thanksgiving.
