Kentucky native, and actress, Ashley Judd says, she is "very honored" to be considered as a candidate for U.S. Senate, but she's not yet confirming whether she will run in the 2014 race against Senate Minority Leader, and long serving Senator, Mitch McConnell.

A statement from Judd says quote, "I cherish Kentucky, heart and soul, and while i'm very honored by the consideration, we have just finished an election, so let's focus on coming together."

Other potential Democratic candidates for the race include Lieutenant Governor Jerry Abramson and Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer.

Kentucky's 3rd District Representative, John Yarmuth thinks Judd has more than an outside shot.

The McConnell campaign says it's funny that Kentucky Democrats are already "sharpening their knives."
