How Should Technology Be Shared?

By: Michael C. Fehn
Updated: November 12, 2012
Microsoft and Motorola will meet in a Seattle court this week over how technology should be shared.  It's a case that could put the brakes on rampant patent battles.

Microsoft alleges that Motorola, now a unit of Google, tried to charge the software giant an unfair price to use its streaming technology.

Courtrooms around the world are seeing cases in which companies allege that everything from the nuts and bolts to the look and feel of their product is being infringed.
