Request for Keepes to Step Down from Task Force

Updated: March 13, 2007
Evansville City Council candidate Andrew Smith wants to shake up the Storm Water Task Force. He wants the head of the Task Force, Pat Keepes, to step down. Keepes serves as City Engineer and Smith says that is a conflict of interest. Smith wants to see the Task Force investigate the long term causes of flooding on the southeast side. He doesn`t think Keepes could be impartial enough to do that. The two got into a heated argument at last week`s Task Force meeting.
