Hundreds of veterans and active service men and women are invited for a free meal tonight at Texas Roadhouse. The restuarant says it's their way of saying thank you for all you've done for the country.

Representatives from Texas Roadhouse say every location is offering a similar deal. Just show proof you are or have been in the military, and you can enjoy a steak dinner on the house.

"I think its great," said Texas Roadhouse Manager Matt White. "It means the world to me that they've done what they've done for us and that we're able to give back, just as much as we can to them."

When our Eyewitness News crew was there around 2 p.m., the restaurant had already served more than 400 veterans and expect to serve nearly 1,000 by the time they close at 10 p.m.
