Not only did Harrison High School's cheer team get a chance to compete at the State Cheer Competition last month. The team's coach has been named the State Cheerleading Coach of the Year. Doug Patberg is serving his 5th year as Harrison's cheer coach and was nominated for the award by parents and by Harrison staff members. The Indiana Association of School Principals honors one coach in the entire state each year.
