The Indiana Supreme Court says the University of Evansville was within its rights to fire a tenured professor. The case involves the 2005 firing of Dr. John Haegert. Haegert was accused of sexually harassing a female professor when he stood next to her, while she was sitting, rubbed her neck and chin, and said "hi sweetie." Haegert unsuccessfully argued the firing violated his contract with school.
