Police have charged an Owensboro woman with more than 1,000 counts of possessing child porn.

Trooper Corey King says the arrest of 25-year-old Sarah Alice Cox on Tuesday came after an investigation by the Kentucky State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

Police say in a statement that troopers found 1,064 images of child porn while examining Cox's computer.

She is being held at the Daviess County Detention Center, which did not have information on whether she has an attorney.

Authorities tell Eyewitness News Cox worked as a nanny and with day care centers in the area. Police ask anyone who have used Cox's services to call Detective Jason Pegan with the Kentucky State Police at (270) 685-3927.
