Keeping Seniors Safe on the Road

In many cities, senior citizens have a higher accident ratio than teenagers.
A special driving course in Owensboro is trying to make sure seniors stay safe on the road.
This course is aimed at people aged 50 and older.
It`s organized by the AARP and helps seniors by keeping them up to date on the rules of the road, and confident in their abilities.
Everyone who successfully completes the course gets about a 5% discount on their car insurance.
The class is offered every two months at the Elizabeth Munday senior center.
Although it`s focused on seniors, the class is open to all drivers.
