Owensboro and Daviess County Hoping to Restart Juvenile Drug Court

The city of Owensboro and Daviess County are coming up with the money to restart a juvenile drug court in their area. The court system was lost in budget cuts. Now, city and county officials are ready to pay $88,000 a year for three years to bring it back. Officials say it is important to intervene with children before they develop serious substance abuse issues. Daviess County's judge-executive hopes the state will be able to take over funding after three years. There's no word when this effort might begin.
