Owensboro House Fire Under Investigation

An overnight house fire is under investigation in Owensboro.
The fire broke out around 3:30 in the 12-hundred block of Booth Avenue. The homeowner tells Eyewitness News he thinks the fire place is to blame.
Nobody was hurt, and the damage to the home was minimal. But the homeowner says this is a prime example of why people need to get their fireplaces cleaned.
Officials have not said if the fireplace was the cause of the fire, and the investigation continues.
