Former Chief Deputy Sentenced to Probation, Community Service

Instead, Ron Morgan will serve one year probation, and perform 24 hours of community service, after pleading guilty to a misdemeanor charge of ghost employment.
Morgan was originally charged with bribery, for allegedly tipping a female drug suspect in return for sexual favors.
Morgan was suspended from the department pending the outcome of his case, and retired from the department on December 31, 2011.
