The annual Thanksgiving migration is on! Dozens of planes now in the air, and millions of cars out on the roads. For one Owensville couple, they're arriving home from a mission trip on the other side of the world. If you are hitting the roads and the skies this Thanksgiving weekend you are not alone. But  these hugs at Evansville Regional Airport are alot tighter, Stephanie and Dustin McCandless are just getting back from Africa. Living in Owensville, the McCandless are hoping to buy to land in Ghana and open up an orphanage. Apart for almost 12 days, and a 22 hour flight, Thanksgiving this year is alot more special. For Janet Kirk Stubbs, she's choosing the highway, a 10 hour drive from Pensacola, Florida. A Madisonville native, Kirk Stubbs is planning a packed few days in the tri-state. Whether you're fueling up the tank or taking a regional jet, officials call this weekend the holiday travel kickoff. But for travelers, its just valued time with those that mean the most. The Evansville Airport says traffic has been steady, people choose to leave between last weekend up to Thanksgiving Day, but almost everyone has a return flight for Sunday, so the airport is expecting high traffic then.
