The Indiana Gaming Commission today placed the operations of the Evansville casino in the hands of Tom Dingman. Dingman is originally from Gary, Indiana and has 25-years of experience in the gaming business. The move will bring Dingman out of retirement to take over the Evansville operations on a temporary basis until the casino is sold to Eldorado Resorts out of Las Vegas. The announcement to sell to Eldorado comes as the license for the Columbia-Sussex owned casino was up for renewal. The license for a casino owned by Columbia Sussex in Atlantic City was recently not renewed, which sparked questions as to whether they could hold a license in Indiana.
