Police Responding to Robbery at Lic's Deli & Ice Cream in Evansville

Evansville Central Dispatch confirms an armed robbery took place at a Lic's Deli & Ice Cream store on the city's south side. It happened right after 7:30 p.m. at the corner of Washington Ave. and Weinbach Ave. Evansville Police say a white male in his early 50's came into the store wearing a white hoodie and a bandana to cover his face. He told the cashier that he had a gun and demanded money. The suspect took off with an undetermined amount of cash. No one was hurt during the incident. Police are still searching for the suspect and are examining the area.
