Republican, Robert Stivers, of Manchester, has been chosen to replace David Williams as the President of the legislative body.
Stivers has been Senate Majority Leader for three years. Fellow Republican, Damon Thayer, will take over as Majority Leader, and Katie Stine will become President pro tem. All three, however, must still be formally elected by the full Senate. That will happen in January.
