Vectren Fined For 2011 Home Explosion

Indiana state utility officials have ordered Vectren to pay a 100-thousand-dollar fine for a natural gas explosion last year.
The explosion destroyed a southern Indiana home in New Albany in November, 2011, injuring six people.
The state's review showed a utility crew damaged the gas line while drilling, and didn't alert emergency officials. An hour later, the house exploded.
Vectren has taken full responsibility for the incident, and has made safety changes.
