An Evansville woman is sent to the hospital after her family escapes their burning home. It happened Sunday afternoon around 1:00 in the 1700 block of Coker Avenue. Firefighters say the fire broke out in an upstairs room. Officials say two adults, six kids, and a dog got out safely. One of those kids, we've learned, was a new born baby. We're told the woman was taken to the hospital for minor smoke inhalation. The Red Cross is assisting the family.
