Evansville Man Pleads Guilty to Possession of a Firearm

An Evansville man accused of threatening to shoot down the Blue Angels pleads guilty. Russell McNeely pleaded guity to charges of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He will be sentenced January 23.
Police say in June of 2010, McNeely called the Shriners and told them he suffered from post traumatic stress disorder and that he was going to shoot down the Blue Angels if they performed in Evansville. Officers found numerous guns in McNeely's home. McNeely was never charged with making a threat.
