A three-year boy is now dead while his mother sits in jail. Vanderburgh County Sheriffs Deputies arrested Amanda Brooks Monday on charges of abuse. The father, Terry Lay, has been charged with neglect. This after, the sheriffs department arrived at 2415 Long Point Drive in Eastbrook Mobile Home Park Monday and found 3 year old Kalab Lay unresponsive. He was rushed to St. Marys Medical Center but died Tuesday from "shaken babies syndrome" just after 2 oclock in the afternoon. Police say charges are pending in Kalabs death. But the couple was initially charged because of injuries to their three year old twin girl. Police also spotted a contusion on their one month old boys leg. An autopsy on Kalab lay is scheduled for Wednesday.
