Man Facing 5,000 Child Pornography Counts Appears in Court Today

A judge finds probable cause to charge a western Kentucky man in a child pornography case. John W. Smith was arrested on more than 5,000 counts of child pornography. A judge found probable cause to charge him on two of the counts and delayed the hearing on the rest of the counts until next month.
Police arrested Smith after they say they found images of child pornography on his computer during a sting operation. Smith's father says his son is a computer technician, and the images got on there while he was working.
