Kentucky's new State Senate President makes a stop in Owensboro this morning. Robert Stivers spoke the Owensboro Chamber's Rooster Booster Breakfast. He talked about the upcoming legislative session next month and some of the challenges he expects to face in the upcoming season.

"I believe we are at a time," said Stivers, "where, as I sit here and see Joe Bowen and the governor and I are of different parties, the public now demands and wants and is starved for dialogue."

Stivers was selected as State Senate President after David Williams was appointed to a judge seat in in Burkesville, Kentucky.
