EFD Warns of Winter Fire Dangers

It's beginning to look and feel more like winter.  And along with that, comes the threat for fires and carbon monoxide leaks.

The Evansville Fire Department and the Building Commission are teaming up to make sure you keep the threat for particular dangers in mind as the holiday season gets closer.

Fires can happen very quickly if you don't pay attention to what's cooking in the kitchen, where your Christmas lights are plugged in, or even the simple decorations you set out.

Another thing to keep in mind is carbon monoxide leaks.  City officials ask you to contact them if you have any questions.
