Pike County Student Starts Fire on School Bus

Pike County School officials confirm a student from Pike Central Middle School poured peppermint oil on a seat and set it on fire. A spokesperson for the school says a middle school student was involved. We're told the student immediately patted the fire out. School officials reviewed surveillance video from the bus and saw no smoke or flames. The school corporation is not authorized to discuss disciplinary action involving students but say the situation has been addressed. No one was hurt.
