Owensboro is expected to get more than $118,000 for work to the city's riverport. The city is one of five across Kentucky scheduled to receive money. It's all part of state grants for repairs and improvements. Governor Steve Beshear says business and industry depend on the ports for freight and raw materials, and grants are an investment and a critical part of Kentucky's commercial supply chain.
