Darby McNeely turned 8 years old Monday, but instead of birthday presents she asked all of her friends to bring donations for Another Chance for Animals.
The agency works to find foster homes for animals pulled from Evansville Vanderburgh Animal Care and Control.
McNeely celebrated her birthday at Pizza King Sunday and on the invitations she asked her friends to bring cat food, dog food, litter, and other items the agency needs.
Her dad, Curtis, introduced her to animal control when they adopted two dogs earlier this year.
