Dubois countys opening of Patoka Lake flood gates is causing concerns about more flooding. Residents in Pike county say that flooding two weeks ago was bad enough. But with the flood gates opening yesterday to relieve high water into the Patoka River and forecasted rain, they are fearing the worst. EMA Director Mary Miller says opening Patoka Lake is necessary. She says its great prevention for even more flooding. Flooding is also expected in Gibson county. Officials with the Gibson County Red Cross say they are prepared to offer shelter for residents if and when its needed.
