Child Hit by Vehicle While Crossing Highway 41

An Evansville child has been taken to the hospital after he was hit by a car on Highway 41 and Washington Ave. Crews on the scene tell Eyewitness News the boy was in a large group trying to cross HWY 41. All of them made it except the boy at the back of the group. We're told his injuries were not life-threatening. The accident did slow down traffic in the area, but it's back open to traffic right now.

They need a catwalk there like they have over the LLoyd in the Weinbach area.
