A fully charged and working cell phone is your best friend if you're out-and-about during the storm.
If you're involved in a non-injury crash and the cars are still drivable, move to a safe area to exchange information.
During severe weather conditions, law enforcement will be busy responding to emergency calls and will not be able to take reports of crashes where there is only damage to property.
Vehicles left abandoned along interstate and state road right-of-ways are subject to immediate removal during inclement weather events.

You may have to cope with power failures and icy roads.
If you do lose power, many homes will be too cold. Space heaters and fireplaces increase the risk of household fires and carbon monoxide poisoning.
Exposure to cold temperatures can cause other serious health problems.
When temperatures drop below normal, heat can leave your body at a more rapid pace.
