Part of Union County Highway Closed Because of Snow Drifts

KY 359 in Union County is closed for the night because of a large snow drift that has developed in a curve. Transportation officials say there have been several accidents on the highway Wednesday evening. The stretch that is closed is near the 3 mile marker between KY 1180 and Hitesville Road.
A crew will attempt to open KY 359 between Morganfield and Uniontown on Thursday.
Another drift has developed on KY 141 in Union County between US 60 and KY 130.
Transportation officials are monitoring that site as well. All drivers in the tristate are being advised to watch for slick spots on the roads and other areas where snow drifts may develop.
