A west side watering hole says goodbye to one of their own who's retiring today. Jim Mosby has been working at Hagedorn's Tavern on Evansville's west side for 42 years and is calling it quits today.

Mosby says it all started on April Fools in 1970, his first day of 20 years as the tavern's owner. After selling the business in 1990, Mosby says the new owners asked him to stick around. And that turned into 22 more years of service. Most importantly he says, is the friendships he's made along the way.

"They're all common people," said Mosby, "and I hope they stay part of my family. I enjoyed each and everyone of them, and this was like family to me all these people they come in to see me. We had a good time."

Mosby didn't mince words though when it comes to the smoking ban. He says it's ruined this small business and many others.
