Judge David Kiely takes the bench as Vanderburgh Circuit Judge. A swearing in and robing ceremony will take place tomorrow. Kiely served as the Circuit Court Magistrate for more than 10 years before being elected as a Vanderburgh Superior Court Judge in 2008. He'll fill the seat left vacant by retiring Judge Carl Heldt. Kiely's current seat is now left vacant, and Governor Mitch Daniels will appoint a replacement before the end of his own term later this month.
