Today's inauguration was full of pomp and circumstance.  From the Pledge of Allegiance to the National Anthem, the city of Evansville pulled out all the stops.
Judge Brett Niemeier says he's just happy to be at this point, "Campaigns are hard.  They're very taxing, they're very emotional, but they're also incredibly rewarding, whenever you get the satisfaction of knowing that your peers and the community support your reelection."  He says he's excited about the year ahead and already has goals set, "Our main emphasis this next year is going to be on a mentoring program."
Meanwhile, Maggie Lloyd also says she's glad to say goodbye to a campaign year, "When you're in an election, you work full time at your job, than at night, you work full time going to different events, so it's very busy."
County Coroner Annie Groves' goal for 2013 will be preventing untimely deaths, "The number one cause of death right now in Vanderburgh County is prescription drug overdoses, and that's something that i'm working on because we have got to change that."
15 Vanderburgh County elected officials were sworn in today, and 7 of those were women.
