Judge David Kiely Sworn In

Vanderburgh Circuit Court Judge David Kiely is officially taking the bench following a swearing-in and robing ceremony this afternoon. The event is sponsored by the Evansville Bar Association.
During a speech, Judge Kiely thanked the Superior Court, his predecessors, and his family. He also says he plans on keeping his staff the same. "It's a wonderful feeling. I worked here for 11 years as a magistrate and went into court for 4 years. It's like coming home. Circuit court staff, it's a family."
Judge Kiely has been on the bench for 15 years. He says he enjoys coming to work every day.
