Illinois Gay Marriage Proposal Goes to Committee

Keeping an eye on developments in the gay marriage vote in Illinois. The proposal to extend rights to same-sex couples is getting a committee hearing today, but there aren't enough votes to pass it on the floor right now. Hundreds of people submit comments for and against the measure. If approved, Illinois would become the 10th state in the union to legalize gay marriage. The state alreay has civil unions.
