Residents of Pleasant Ridge Estates in Vanderburgh County recently evacuated for flooding are bracing for more heavy rains. Some are still working to fix minor damages from the last bout of flooding. It was just last month that many residents in Pleasant Ridge Estates had to go to a hotel or shelter because of flooding. Now with 2 to 4 inches expected over the next 24 hours some are worried about a possible repeat.
Delores Johnson and her neighbors on Chapel Court were all deep in water. Johnson had to leave her home then and with heavy rains in the forecast now. Because last time Johnson says the drains were filled with water. And sandbags were put near the levee to keep more water from coming in. She also says Pigeon Creek isnt as high as it was.
