Some shoppers didn't just go to Hobby Lobby stores just to use gift cards they got for Christmas, they were also showing the company and its employees their support as part of Support Hobby Lobby Day.

Several groups were encouraging people to shop at the store today.  Hobby Lobby is being fined more than $1 million per day for not complying with the healthcare benefits package.  Under the President's health care law, the store's required to provide contraceptive coverage to it's employees.  But the retail chain refuses to do so.

But for some shoppers, this day of support is more than just about supporting a company, it's about religious freedom.

"We can get our voice heard that religious freedom shouldn't be fringed upon," says Nina Fuller, who participated in Support Hobby Lobby Day.  "If the CEO of a business in America has a strong belief, I think that needs to be respected and the government needs to stay out of that.

A similar show of support was held for Chick-Fil-A last August after one of the company's leaders voiced his opposition to gay marriage.
