David Camm is accused of killing his wife and two children. His third trial is set to begin in Floyd County this summer, and more than three million dollars in legal costs have already been racked up.
Camm has been convicted by a jury twice in the murders of his wife, Kimberly and their kids, however, both convictions were overturned on appeal.
Authorities in Floyd County expect the trial to cost another million before its over. The police chief there says the cost has had a major impact on the county's budget. He says employees have not received raises for the last six years.
Camm is awaiting trial in the Vanderburgh County Jail.
