Evansville Man to Plead Guilty for Making Online Threats

An Evansville man facing federal charges after investigators say he made threats against EPD has reached a plea deal. Derrick Murray was charged this summer with three counts of making online threats on Topix.com, but will now plead guilty to a different charge. Murray's attorney says he'll plead guilty to one count of transmitting threats and in exchange for the other two charges being dismissed.

Back in June, Eyewitness News was the only station on the scene of a SWAT raid on Powell Ave. Investigators say the home was connected to Murray's threats. There has not been an agreement made on his sentence. A judge will still have the final say on that.
