Updated: January 10, 2013
A Chandler, IN woman died early Thursday morning, after her vehicle crashed into a parked semi.

It happened just before 1:30, on Interstate 164, just east of Weinbach Avenue in Evansville.

Investigators say the driver of the semi, 29-year-old, Joshua Farrar, of Boonville, pulled onto the shoulder due to mechanical problems.  That's when another vehicle, driven by a 23-year-old Chandler woman, crashed into the back of the trailer.  She died at the scene.

East bound lanes of 164 had to be shut down for about an hour.  The victim's name has not yet been released.  We will bring you new information as it becomes available.
