Bald Eagle Found Dead In Gibson County

Indiana Conservation Officers say a highway worker found a dead bald eagle earlier this week in Gibson County.
The bird was found in the 8300 block of Base Road. Foul play is not suspected.
Officials say there was no blood around the eagle, and x-rays showed no mental projectiles inside the bird either. It was found under some power lines, so biologists believe it likely died from contact with the lines.
The eagle was turned over to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service for further investigation.
