An Evansville woman originally charged with the murder of her husband agrees to plead guilty to a lesser charge. Megan Mecum agreed to plead guilty to conspiracy to committ robbery. In return, she will be sentenced to 25 years in prison, and more serious charges against her will be dropped.

Police say last May she worked with Hubert and James Mayhugh to kill her husband, Keith Vaughn. Vaughn's body was later fund inside his Kathleen Ave. home. Part of the plea bargain requires Mecum to testify against the other co-defendants.

Mecum also pleaded guilty to unrelated drug charges. Deputies found two baggies of drugs in her cell in the days shortly after she was arrested. She will serve an additional three years on those charges. Sentencings are set for March 21.
