Tri-State School Districts Win Teacher Excellence Award

The Indiana Department of Education awarded the North Posey County School District, North Spencer County Schools, and Perry Central Community Schools with the Excellence in Performance Award for Teachers. Three of the 40 districts across the state will share a total of $10 million. At North Posey County schools, the money will go to teachers stipends, but Dr. Angela Wannemuehler of the MSD of North Posey County says students also win because highly effective teachers give them highly effective learning.
North Posey County will get $240,000 while North Spencer County and Perry Central will eacch get more than $150,000.
