USDA Offering Microloans to Small Farms

Small farming operations can now get some financial help from the the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
Those who are looking to start up or expand their small farm are eligible for up to $35-thousand dollars.
An Agriculture Department official said the new "microloans" are designed to help bolster family-run farms, and help farmers who may otherwise have trouble gettting a small loan from a bank.
An official announcement is expected later on Tuesday.
