Kentucky Attorney General Jack Conway says the state is making progress in curbing prescription drug abuse.

Conway spoke to the National Governor's Association Policy Academy on reducing prescription drug abuse Tuesday.

He touted a law passed last year, that has beefed up the monitoring of prescribing practices of Kentucky physicians. That law requires most doctors to use a computerized prescription monitoring system.
