If you plan to take a flight out of Evansville anytime soon, the airport has unveiled new jet bridges. A two and a half million dollar investment into these four jet bridges, EVV sees almost half a million passengers every year. No longer do passengers have to come outside and board their plane. The bridges also increase safety and many say they're an all around better look for the airport. "Its a much better front door for the community if you will, for people to be able to walk straight onto the jet bridges into the building instead of out across the ramp," says Airport Manager Douglas Joest. Mayor Lloyd WInnecke tells us, "We know that companies that look to relocate or locate in specific communities look for really great airports and we have a really great airport and the opening of these jet-ways really makes us more viable in the minds of companies that are looking to locate." The jet bridges are fully functional now and with the cold temperatures we're dealing with here in the Tri-state, many are sure these bridges will be appreciated.
