A major traffic headache for thousands of Tri-State drivers. The northbound lanes of the Twin Bridges were closed for about 45 minutes around 12:30 p.m., and traffic was restricted for more than two hours. It caused a back-up that stretched for miles. Sheriff's deputies say a semi swerved into another lane to avoid a stalled car. Several other cars then tried to stop but couldn't. One of the vehicles involved was a truck carrying propane. Deputies kept the bridge closed until they determined the area was safe.
