A Henderson family is staying with relatives after an early morning fire rips through their home.

It happened just before 2:00 Tuesday morning in the 16-hundred block of Old Madisonville Road, near Highway 60 West.

Firefighters say when they arrived, the attic was on fire, and flames broke out through the roof soon after.  Everyone in the home, including several children, were able to get out safely.

Firefighters say the cold air made it tough for those trying to put the fire out, as well as for the family.  Temperatures at the time were below 20 degrees.

Investigators say the fire is not suspicious, but there is no word on a cause.
